Henry Rollins - Live At McCabe's [MEDIAFIRE]
classic, old-school Rollins. he tells the story about getting molested as a kid on this one

Yawning Man - Rock Formations [MEDIAFIRE]
flawlessly executed "stoner rock". this is what the genre should sound like. fuck electric wizard

Dead To Me - Cuban Ballerina [MEDIAFIRE]
fat wreck chords has always released and upheld punk rock that made the genre actually sort of seem not dead. this is an example from five years ago.

Maria Bamford - Unwanted Thoughts Syndrome [MEDIAFIRE]
I just listened to this...the first stand-up comedy post. bitch is hilarious...the stuff about her OCD is my favorite.
The Breeders - Title TK [MEDIAFIRE]
I love this band. so many good albums. this one is their best...it's better than the last two pixies albums. fuck you man, it's true

Slayer - Hell Awaits [MEDIAFIRE]
fuck yeah dude. this came out the year before reign in blood so it kind of got overshadowed, but this is classic evil.

Bohren & Der Club of Gore - Black Earth [MEDIAFIRE]
incredibly spooky jazz

Butthole Surfers - Weird Revolution [MEDIAFIRE]
this is great...this is their most polished, "pop" album I've heard. all these songs could be singles
Victims Family - Apocalicious [MEDIAFIRE]
this album is great. I don't really know what genre this band is but I just read a review where they were referred to as "acid punk" and I think that sounds pretty accurate
Squarepusher - Go Plastic [MEDIAFIRE]
perhaps the most aphex twin-y squarepusher album. really fucking good

From Monument To Masses - The Impossible Leap In One Hundred Simple Steps [MEDIAFIRE]
neato post rock...I think this is a concept album about 9/11.

Sam Cooke - At The Harlem Square Club, 1963 [MEDIAFIRE]
my favorite live album. what a fucking genius savant performer this guy was...great songs, incredible energy, best crowd ever
